Parties

We have a back room and side area that is available to private parties of up to 50 people. There is no charge for use.

We have a late license and will be happy to discuss themed cocktails, food or anything else you might want.

Our latest addition is a gramophone player and large selection of bakelite 78's, so you can play 1920s DJ at your own party.

Tutored tastings:

If you want something a little different, we can organise small tastings for groups of up to 20 people. Let us know what you'd like to taste or learn to make and we will supply a tutor to lead you through the subject, as well as food to help you concentrate. We have now run these tastings many times, for corporate evenings, birthdays and hen parties.

Some ideas:

Classic Cocktails - a trip through some classic cocktails, from the modern classic Cosmopolitan, through the Martini and Old Fashioned to the Sazerac. History and how to make them.

Varietal wine tasting - pick a grape and we'll select complementary wines for you to try with an explanation of how the location, terroir and wine-making gives the differences in style.

Regional wine tasting - pick a country or region and we'll select wines that typify what's great about it and go through them with you.

Martini masterclass - starts with how to make a modern martini; then you'll get a chance to try the difference between shaken, stirred, olive or twist, even vodka or the classic variations

Caribbean daiquiris - daiquiris, each from a different Caribbean Island exhibiting the best bits of a brilliant spirit.

Although we'll aim to supply you with drinks from our lists, we can get whatever you want to try within reason. Just give us some notice and we'll give you a quote
